Another sunny and hot weekend for a great DockDogs event. The setting
was beautiful - lot of trees for shade within a large grassy area. And, despite all our worries, close parking with
a drop-off area. The only thing we were lacking was a close bathroom. Thunder jumped to a new National
Personal Best of 22' 6" made it to the Pro Finals and finished in 9th Place with a 21' 1" jump.
Buddy and Thunder, with another yellow and black challenge, battled it out
again in Cadet EV. Buddy knocked it down at 5' 4", missed the first jump at 5' 6", and decided to pass on the second
jump to take it up to 5' 8" where Buddy missed his first try. Thunder grabbed at 5' 8" and tried for a new personal
best of 6' to get to Top Gun but missed. They're both looking forward to their next Cadet EV event at Frederick.
During the tear-down there was much excitement when I punctured my
hand with a knife and had to rushed to the hospital by Tim. After 3 hours and 3 stitches, she was good to go and Carly
got her home safely. Luckily, it's not her throwing hand. Thanks to everyone who helped with Daisy Lou (Angie
Jones) and Thunder (Brandy Fowler) and everyone else who made sure Carly got everything packed up.
